The admission policies of the
Bloomington-Normal School of Radiography do not
discriminate on the basis of age, gender, race,
religion, national origin, marital status or
disability.
Requirements
The qualified applicant must:
- Be in
good physical and mental health.
- Be a
U.S. citizen or permanent resident, at
least 18 years of age and have graduated
from high school with class rank in the
upper half and/or G.P.A. of 2.5 or above.
- Have
attained an ACT score of at least 20 or
SAT scores of Verbal- 450; Math- 500
- Have a
strong background in math and
science. A total of at least 12
semester courses of math and science
should have been completed with a
minimum letter grade of
"C". It is recommended
that the applicant complete courses in
physics, biology, algebra, geometry,
chemistry, anatomy, and physiology.
- Visit
the Bloomington-Normal School of
Radiography when a complete application
has been received and Basic Admission
Requirements met. Tour a local
Radiology department with a faculty
member and interview with the Program
Director.
Application Procedure
As of February 29, 2008
We are still waiting on a final decision on the transfer of
our program to Heartland Community College. We are planning
to start accepting applications, pending approval, through
Heartland Community College beginning April 1.
The application deadline will be September 1.
However, supporting documentation such as transcripts and licensure,
if applicable, will be due October 1.
Accepted applicants will be notified in November.
Informational meetings for applicates will be held on
Heartland's Normal Campus on April 29 and August 28
at 7pm. These meetings are not mandatory but are recommended.
Accepted students will be required to attend an orientation day on Friday, November 14.
Once again Heartland Community College will being accepting applications,
pending state approval, beginning April 1
